Add fresh yerba mate and pour hot water up to just below the metal rim. 2. Let it rest for 24 hours. 3. Remove the yerba by carefully scraping the interior with a spoon. 4. Repeat the process for 1 or 2 more days. 5. Once all steps are completed, place the mate in the sun for 30 minutes. Care Instructions: Do not fill the mate up to the rim. Do not wash the interior or exterior with water. Remove the yerba mate after each use. Dry any remaining moisture with a paper towel or napkin. Do not store the mate upside down.
